If you’ve ever wanted to fly a spy
camera around on a helicopter, now’s your chance. And if you’ve hesitated before
because you think Radio Controlled helicopters are complicated and difficult to
fly, think again. Advanced electric circuitry (eliminating over 95% of the
necessary parts that make a conventional helicopter fly), an ultra lightweight
carbon fiber body, and an easy-to-use electronic control system make the
Dragonflyer III a revolutionary advancement in radio-controlled flying machines.
Fewer parts means when you crash (and everyone does), there are fewer parts to
break. The body is virtually indestructible and replacement rotors are
inexpensive. Assembly time is only 30 minutes to 1 hour. We've crashed gas
helicopters causing over $400 in damage, and this is not uncommon. When you
crash a gas helicopter the rotors usually tear the helicopter apart (Ouch!). The
possibilities are endless with a video camera attached to one of the world's
most innovative flying machines. Videotape real estate, promotional videos, or
hard to reach locations to make money on the side! The Dragonflyer has been
featured on "Ripley's Believe it or Not," Space Channel, Discovery Channel, and
Tech TV. NASA has even purchased this helicopter for research along with many
universities worldwide. Impressive credentials for a radio controlled spy cam
helicopter.
The Dragonflyer III includes:
Does it really fly? Yes it does!
How long
does it fly for? Flight times are approximately 5 minutes, much longer with
our new optional tether cord.
How high and fast will it go? Fast
enough to scare you and as high as you can see it.
How much can it
lift? This depends on many factors. However, at least 1 ounce - enough to
lift an Eyecam micro video camera.
Do you have full flight
control? Yes, you can control yaw, pitch, roll and altitude.
What
is it made out of? The frame is carbon fiber and high-impact nylon, the
rotors are a composite material and upon impact, they are designed to tear. This
makes for a very durable and safe indoor and outdoor flying
machine.
How many frequencies are available? We have ten
frequencies in stock, so you and nine friends can race, compete, and battle each
other.
How long does it take to charge the battery? Approximately
20 minutes, with our included digital AC/DC peak charger. You can purchase
additional batteries to minimize downtime.
What are this product's
dimensions and weight? The Dragonflyer III is 28" from rotor tip to rotor
tip and 7" tall. The blades are 11" in diameter, and total weight is 17 ounces
or 17.5 ounces with Eyecam.
Can it fly indoors? Yes, indoors and
outdoors. The Dragonflyer III is a very safe, stable flying
machine.
Do I need to purchase anything else for assembly or to fly
it? No! A pair of pliers might be handy for assembly. We include an
instructional videotape that guides you through the 30-minute
assembly.
Can you really record live video from the Dragonflyer III?
Yes! Our full color 2.4GHz Eyecam is perfect for making aerial videos. You
can even make money with your flying machine!
