It won’t detect smoke, but it will detect what’s going on in your house when you’re not there. So be sure you don’t use it to take the place of your already existing smoke detector, because it only functions as a wireless camera that transmits video signal to the included 2.4Ghz receiver - recorder DVR Digital Video Recorder, motion activation. (records directly on a SD memory card).

Hidden inside is a transmitter that operates on an FCC-approved 2.4 GHz frequency for great range (up to 300 ft.)LOS. with minimal interference from wireless telephones or internet routers, a high-grade CCD board color camera and an antenna — all built inside the unit. Like all our wireless systems, this one’s easy to use. Put it up on the wall, install the batteries (external battery pack 8AA pack) or the AC/DC 12V power adapter, hook up the new generation wireless receiver DVR recorder (comes included) and you’re system is up and running.

By using this new system, we have eliminated the requirement of additional recording equipment. This powerful system has a motion detection to trigger the system and record only the real action.

Two easy ways to view the recording

This is the only unit on the Market today that can play back directly from the unit itself. Just connect the provided RCA Cable to any TV or Monitor to see what has been recorded or you can take the SD Card out of the unit, use a SD card reader, view the video right from a PC using Windows Media player.
